Alteration Policy

A promise of care, craft, and complete transparency — from your first fitting to your final pickup.

Thank you for choosing Perfect Bride. It is a privilege to work with you and your gown. Our commitment is simple — to ensure your dress fits you beautifully, feels entirely yours, and is ready to carry you into one of the most meaningful moments of your life.

Please take a moment to review the following policy, designed to protect your experience and set clear expectations from the very first fitting.

Initial Consultation & Fitting

Every journey begins with a conversation. During your consultation, we will carefully assess your gown and walk you through the alterations needed to achieve your perfect fit. A detailed estimate of all recommended services and associated costs will be provided before any work begins.

Footwear & Undergarments

To ensure the most accurate hem length and silhouette fit, please bring the exact shoes and undergarments — including bra, pads, and shapewear — that you plan to wear on your wedding day. If different shoes or undergarments are worn after alterations are completed, Perfect Bride cannot be responsible for discrepancies in fit or length.

Standard Alterations

Your initial quote covers the standard alterations discussed and agreed upon during your consultation. These typically include hemming, resizing, strap adjustments, train work, and general fitting refinements.

Additional Alterations

Should you wish to request alterations beyond the original agreement, additional charges will apply. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Adding or removing embellishments
  • Structural modifications
  • Major resizing
  • Restyling or redesigning elements of the gown

We welcome these conversations — please share any new ideas as early as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Custom Design Modifications & Approval

Every custom change will be discussed with you in full before work begins. A revised estimate will be prepared for your review and approval, and no work will proceed without your consent. Your vision guides every decision we make.

Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of drop-off to secure your appointment.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due at the final pickup of your gown.
  • We accept Cash, Zelle, and Venmo.
  • A separate invoice will be issued for any additional services not included in the original agreement.
  • All additional services must be paid in full upon completion.

Cancellations & Refunds

If alterations are canceled after approval and work has already begun, charges for completed work will still apply. Refunds are not available for services already rendered.
